Job Purpose/ Objective:
The objective of the Delivery Driver is to ensure that produce, dairy, and dry good products are delivered to Wards customers in a manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations. The Delivery Driver is also responsible for communicating any customer preferences or issues to the Transportation Department Managers and Supervisors as well as the Customer Care Department. Finally, the Delivery Driver is responsible for operating Ward’s vehicles in a safe and professional manner as well as reporting any vehicle maintenance issues using proper inspection format and verbal communication to supervisors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs deliveries, pick-ups, and returns of produce, dairy products, and dry goods to / from Ward’s Produce customers and suppliers.
- Uses of the Omnitracs to review route assignments and log whereabouts while making deliveries using an iPhone.
- Reviews paperwork for assigned route(s) to ensure that all invoices are present and in good condition
- Inspects cargo loads to ensure that they are packed appropriately
- Prepares customer orders by verifying them with delivery invoices for accuracy, delivering them to customer facility, and assisting with check in and placement of products at the client facility. Receives signatures on invoices for items delivered and
- collects any cash on delivery payments when necessary.
- Assists Warehouse and Customer Care departments loading any shorted product for delivery routes. Also makes Customer Care Department and supervisors aware of any delivery delays, shorts, errors, or quality issues that may require a reship to the customer immediately.
- Completes, organizes, and turns in all appropriate paperwork and invoices, making sure that all checks and monies are balanced and included in the drop.
- Ensures that all vehicles are cleaned out properly and the end of each shift.
- Takes multiple routes per day depending on volume and client demands
- Completing any other delivery related duties that may be needed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Additional Job Functions:
- Perform and document pre-trip and post trip inspections in proper Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) format.
- Triage any vehicle issues needing immediate attention or repair.
- Maintain communication with supervisors to ensure D.O.T. required documentation is maintained.
- Keep track of hours worked to maintain responsibility for not exceeding D.O.T. Hours of Duty.
- Maintain communication with Transportation Department supervisors to ensure D.O.T. required documentation is maintained. (driver’s license, driving record, and medical examiners card)

Job Overview:
A Selector is responsible for selecting, shrink wrapping and loading any assignment they are given by a supervisor/lead. This must be completed until the last assignment has been issues and/or a supervisor/lead has stated that the shift is complete. Nightshift Selectors must do this while also avoiding shorting, miss-picking, and sending damaged or outdated product to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Loads, unloads, and transfers merchandise to designated area in accordance with training procedures.
- Stocks merchandise in warehouse to include utilizing equipment and lifting and carrying merchandise to place on shelves.
- Inspects merchandise for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
- Records all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate paperwork.
- Completes inventory preparation for warehouse stock.
- Verifies merchandise and manually tags with tickets daily.
- Organizes merchandise to prepare for shipment as needed.
- Fills customer order in accordance with invoice, completes appropriate paperwork, and places a copy with the merchandise for shipment.
- Prepares special promotional packages as needed.
- Operates tape gun to seal boxes for shipment or stock daily.

Job Overview:
The Production Quality Assurance Technician will complete monitoring warehouse adherence to SOPs, HACCP plan, SSOPs, GMPs, and other relevant plans, programs, and work instructions. Abides by and ensures all safety and quality protocols.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the repacking processes to ensure adherence to procedures and requirements specified within SOPs, and the HACCP program resulting in quick, strong decisions during operations.
- Responsible for pre-operative and operative facility inspection.
- Inspecting and calibrating measuring instruments.
- Working collaboratively with the warehouse team to enforce food safety and quality assurance protocols for Safe Food Distribution
- Conduct daily internal GMP and warehouse inspections to assure product food safety and quality.
- Verify adherence to procedures; monitor and verify process controls, sanitation, and GMP practices.
- Assist Quality Manager/Supervisor in conducting Food Safety / Sanitation audits and communicate findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Involve in preparation and execution of customer / third party/Regulatory audits.
- Isolate and put on “HOLD” any material, product, ingredient, or packaging material, which might pose a food safety, risk, or otherwise compromise product quality or integrity.
- Conduct monthly Listeria swabbing in rotating areas of the facility to be sent to laboratory for testing.
- Conduct sanitation verification program using ATP luciferase unit for regular sanitation verification as per assignment
- Conduct weekly APC swab, prepare the swab samples, and send samples to head office for test

Job Overview:
The Sanitation employee is responsible for supporting the cleaning and sanitizing functions of the warehouse operation. This position includes active participation in tasks necessary to ensure that the warehouse maintains a safe and hygienic environment, in compliance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
- Promote health and safety in the workplace.
- Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and inspection regulations.
- Read chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing tools, equipment, and the warehouse environment using various chemicals such as chlorinated alkaline detergents, acid detergents, and different sanitizers (QUAT, PerQUAT, chlorine-based).
- Responsible for cleanliness of the warehouse using a Zamboni style, ride on floor cleaner (XR-40 Factory Cat) and various pressure washing systems.

It is a supervisory role that encompasses the operational and personnel functions of a designated section of the warehouse. Key responsibilities involve supervising hourly warehouse associates, offering leadership and guidance to meet safety objectives, productivity targets, accuracy benchmarks, cost reduction goals, and the development of warehouse staff.
